Nigeria has taken a major step forward in advancing long-term, sustainable solutions for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with the successful validation of the National Durable Solutions Strategy and the formal inauguration of the Technical Working Group (TWG) by the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI).
The event marked a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s humanitarian and development landscape, bringing together key government institutions, international partners, civil society organisations, and technical experts. Their collaborative engagement served to refine, review, and endorse a national framework dedicated to improving the protection, well-being, and resilience of displaced populations across the country.
